The Sanger project gave me a wonderful opportunity to embark on many aspects of construction that I had never before managed. It involved a large-scale demolition project of a completely freestanding building, a “save the trees ordinance” that required cyclone fencing be erected around several of the trees within the construction zone, a full outdoor kitchen, enough concrete to create an Oakland Dam, and a built-in spa, not to mention the large-scale garden project! Alison and Stephen were great--they both taught me how to keep good books as well as how to make a fine Manhattan. In the end, the Sanger’s have created a great place for their children to grow up as well as a place for Grandma to stay. Just look at those before and after photos! Click back to projects.
